Meatballs, Baked with Zucchini, on Skewers

An unusual dish of young zucchini and minced meat. Zucchini circles, alternating with minced meat and potato meatballs, are strung on wooden skewers and baked in the oven under cheese. It turns out not only beautiful but also very tasty!

Ingredients

  • Zucchini – 350 g (1 pcs.)
  • Minced pork and beef – 300 g
  • Hard cheese – 60 g
  • Potatoes – 100 g (1 pcs.)
  • Bulb onions – 0.5 pcs.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Mayonnaise – 1.5 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare the required ingredients. You will also need 3 wooden skewers for baking. Peel and wash potatoes and onions. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  2. Transfer the minced meat to a bowl.
  3. Grate the potatoes on a fine grater and add to the minced meat.
  4. Cut the onions into small cubes and also add to the minced meat.
  5. Peel, chop or put through a garlic press. Add garlic to the minced meat with potatoes and onions.
  6. Season with salt and pepper all ingredients.
  7. Mix the minced meat thoroughly into a homogeneous mass (preferably by hand).
  8. Using your hands moistened with water, form small balls of minced meat.
  9. Wash the young zucchini, cut the edges and cut into thin circles.
  10. Transfer the sliced ​​zucchini to a bowl, salt and stir.
  11. Now string on wooden skewers, alternating between themselves, zucchini circles and meatballs.
  12. Place the prepared kebabs in a baking dish.
  13. Top each skewer with mayonnaise.
  14. Send the baking sheet to the oven, bake the zucchini with meatballs in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
  15. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
  16. Remove the kebabs from the oven and spread the cheese on top of them.
  17. Send it back to the oven and bake at the same temperature for another 5-7 minutes.
  18. Meatballs baked with zucchini on skewers are ready.
  19. Serve these fancy kebabs hot.
