Melon Jelly

Transparent and very aromatic melon jelly is an unusual and delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • Melon – 300 g
  • Gelatin – 25 g
  • Sugar – 3-5 tbsp
  • Citric acid – on the tip of a knife
  • Vanilla – to taste
  • Water – 500 ml
  • Powdered sugar (for serving) – to taste

Directions

  1. Peel the melon and cut into cubes or figured using special shapes.
  2. Pour water over the melon. Add sugar, citric acid, vanilla. Bring to a boil, cook for 1 minute. Cool down.
  3. Pour gelatin into part of the liquid in which the melon was boiled. Heat in a water bath until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour gelatin into the remaining liquid in which the melon was boiled.
  5. Arrange pieces of melon in molds. Pour over the jelly. Put the melon jelly in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when serving melon jelly.
