  • Minced meat – 700 g
  • Baton – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 400 ml (2 glasses)
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 200 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Butter (for greasing the mold) – 1 tbsp
  • Seasoning for meat – 1 teaspoon
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley – to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying

Minced Meat and Bread Casserole with Cheese Crust Instructions

  1. Milk, loaf, cheese, and minced meat can all be eaten separately! But we’ll make a delicious casserole. You will need two 200 ml glasses of milk, one for the meat filling, the other for the egg filling.
  2. Rub the onion on a coarse grater. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry minced meat and onions, or rather even evaporate excess moisture.

  3. During the time while the minced meat is being prepared, chop the parsley coarsely. We prepare cheese and bread. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater. Cut the loaf into slices and cut the crust to make small rectangular pieces.
  4. Then add chopped parsley, flour with baking powder, salt, ground pepper, and seasoning for meat to the minced meat. And last of all, gradually, in 1/3 cup, pour in 1 glass of milk, stirring well each time.
  5. We warm-up well, turn off the heating. The minced meat should be juicy. Beat eggs lightly with a pinch of salt, pour in milk (second glass).
  6. Lubricate the mold with butter. On the bottom we spread a layer of a loaf, adjusting the bread rectangles close to each other. Distribute the minced meat on top (next layer).
  7. We spread another layer of bread. We cover everything with grated cheese.

  8. It remains only to fill everything with an egg-milk mixture and put it in the refrigerator for at least an hour (it can be for several hours, for example, before dinner).
  9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cooking minced meat and bread with cheese casserole in the oven for 30 minutes. Oh, and it turns out delicious!
