Ingredients

  • 1 kg mussel (s) (mussels)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (peanut oil)
  • 1 ½ dl white wine
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 dl sweet cream
  • 1 pinch saffron threads, resp. saffron booklet
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • Pepper, whiter

Instructions

  1. Wash mussels. Chop the garlic and sauté in the peanut oil. Add the mussels and deglaze with white wine.
  2. Cover the pan and let the whole thing cook with the lid closed until all the mussel shells have opened (approx. 5 minutes). Add the cream, saffron and pepper to the mussels. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
  3. Serve with the baguette.
  4. Often we also pour this sauce over pasta!
