Ingredients

  • 700 g sausaes, sliced
  • 3 carrot (s), sliced
  • 3 spring onions, cut into rings
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • 70 g mustard, (medium hot)
  • 200 ml cream, (or replace 100 with milk)
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • some sugar, honey or beet syrup
  • salt and pepper
  • chives

Instructions

  1. Fry the sausages, remove them.
  2. Fry the carrots and spring onions in this order.
  3. Pour in the juice and stock, bring to the boil and simmer for 8 minutes.
  4. Stir in mustard and cream, season, thicken with the mixed starch. Add the sausages again. Sprinkle with chives.
  5. This is served with rice, pasta or boiled potatoes.
  6. TIPS: instead of the vegetable stock you can use 300 ml sausage water and 1 heaped teaspoon vegetable stock powder, you hardly have to season.
  7. Wiener, Frankfurter or sausages are suitable.
  8. Sweeten very carefully, as the orange juice is already sweet.
