The whole family is very fond of this bread! It turns out soft and aromatic. Everything in it is in moderation! Awesome oat bread with honey! And making bread with oatmeal is very simple.
Ingredients
Milk – 180 ml
Butter – 25 g + for form preparation
Honey – 1 tbsp
Long-boiled oat flakes – 50 g
Wheat flour – 75 g (it took me a little more flour) + for working with dough
Whole grain flour – 75 g
Dry yeast – 1 teaspoon
Salt – 4 g (0.5 teaspoon)
For greasing and sprinkling on bread:
Egg – 1 pc.
Milk – 2 tbsp
Oat flakes
Directions
Heat milk, butter, and honey in a saucepan. As soon as it starts to boil, add the oatmeal, stir and set aside so that the mixture cools down to a slightly warm state.
In a separate bowl, mix two types of sifted flour, salt, and yeast. As soon as the liquid mixture has cooled, add it to the flour mixture and knead the dough. It may take a little more or less flour.
On a floured surface, knead the dough with your hands for 20 minutes. If there is a “hook” nozzle, then 5-6 minutes.
We form a ball from the dough, put it in a greased bowl, and send it to a warm place to rise for 1.5-2 hours. I put it in a warm oven (30 degrees) and cover it with a damp towel. The dough should double in size.
We spread the dough on a surface dusted with flour, form an even ball and send it to the mold (I have a mold with a diameter of 20 cm). I covered the bottom of the form with parchment, oiled the walls. Again send the dough to rise for 45 minutes.
After that, grease the bread with a mixture of eggs and milk. Sprinkle oatmeal on top.
We bake bread with oatmeal in a preheated oven for 40 minutes at 180 degrees. If the top begins to brown a lot, cover with foil.
