Ingredients

  • g 1,000 onion (s)
  • g 1,000 apples, sour variety
  • 750 ml vinegar (fruit vinegar)
  • 2 tablespoon salt
  • 500 g suar
  • 2 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 pinch (s) cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons clove (s), ground
  • 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
  • 200 g raisins, chopped, seedless

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and apples. Remove the core from the apples. Roughly chop the onion and apples. Bring the fruit vinegar with salt, sugar, curry powder, cayenne pepper, mixed cloves and allspice to the boil. Stir in the onion and apple pieces and bring to the boil again. Then add the raisins and simmer for about 40 minutes over a mild heat while stirring. Pour hot into glasses.
  2. Store cool. Tastes very good with fondue, pork and meat loaf, meatballs or cold roasts.
