Orange Fruitcake with Nuts

Incredibly tender and crumbly orange cake with nuts. The cake is very soft, deliciously aromatic and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Orange – 1 pc.
  • Walnuts (or any other) – 1 handful
  • Butter (softened) – 100 g
  • Chicken eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Sugar – 150 g
  • Flour – 300 g
  • Baking powder – 1 sachet (10 g)
  • Vanillin – to taste
  • Dark chocolate (for decoration, optional) – 0.5 bars

Directions

  1. Mix soft butter with sugar in a separate container.
  2. Remove the zest from one orange with a fine grater and add it to the butter. We send eggs and a pinch of salt there.
  3. Next, squeeze the juice from half an orange into the resulting mass. Pour a bag of baking powder and vanillin into the flour. Sift the flour through a sieve and knead the dough.
  4. Grind the walnuts in any way convenient for you and add them to the ready-made cake dough.
  5. Put the dough in any heat-resistant form and put it in the oven, preheated to 180-200 degrees. We bake the orange cake for 30-40 minutes. We check the readiness of the cake with a toothpick, it must be dry.
  6. Orange cupcake is ready!
  7. I had half a bar of dark chocolate, so I decided to melt it and decorate it with chocolate. I also used the remaining half of the orange for decoration. You can decorate as you like.
  8. You can brew tea and enjoy the amazing taste of orange cake!
