Oven Meat

Meat in the oven, the recipe of which is known to many and is simple, is baked in foil in a whole piece, stuffed with slices of garlic. Before cooking meat in the oven, choose young lamb for this dish (it turns out to be the tastiest). But the recipes for meat in the oven do not limit the choice of meat – it is perfectly baked with garlic and pork, and the beef in the oven is no less tasty. Beef, pork or lamb pork will always be a decoration of the festive table!

Ingredients

  • Young lamb – 500 g
  • or beef (veal) – 500 g
  • or pork – 500 g
  • Garlic – 2 heads
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare ingredients.
  2. How to cook meat in the oven: Peel all the garlic.
    Cut each clove of one head of garlic into 2-3 pieces.
  3. Wash a piece of meat, dry it and stuff it with garlic, cutting small holes in the meat for this.
  4. Cut another peeled head of garlic into small pieces.
  5. Add salt and pepper.
  6. Pour all over with sunflower oil and mix. The amount of oil depends on the size of the piece of meat, but there should be enough oil to water the meat completely.
  7. Place the stuffed piece of meat in a deep dish or in a foil envelope, pour oil and garlic on both sides, cover with foil and leave in the refrigerator overnight.
  8. Preheat the oven. Bake the meat in the oven in the same dish or in foil (place the meat with the fat side down). The total baking time is 2-3 hours. For the first hour, bake the meat at a low temperature (175-180 degrees) so that it becomes soft, then increase the oven temperature (up to 200 degrees) and bake for another 0.5-1 hour.
  9. After 1.5-2.5 hours after the start of baking, open the meat and for the last 20-30 minutes increase the temperature slightly (up to 220 degrees) so that the meat is browned.
  10. Remove the meat from the oven and cool.
