Pancakes on Semolina

Recipe for delicious yeast pancakes with semolina. The pancakes are soft, sweet, of medium thickness and with large holes. The water dough is very easy to prepare. Both frying and eating such semolina pancakes is a pleasure. Be sure to take note of the recipe!

Ingredients

  • Semolina – 100 g
  • Flour – 180 g
  • Dry yeast – 2 teaspoon
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Sunflower oil – 3 tbsp
  • Water (warm boiled) – 400 ml

Directions

  1. Pour 200 ml of warm boiled water into a bowl, add sugar and dry yeast. Whisk together. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
  2. After 10 minutes, add semolina, salt and flour.
  3. Stir. This will make a tough, viscous dough.
  4. Pour in another 200 ml of warm boiled water, stir.
  5. Place the bowl of dough in a warm place for 40-50 minutes.
  6. Beat an egg into the matched dough, pour in the sunflower oil, mix until a homogeneous dough of medium density is obtained.
  7. Now start frying the semolina pancakes. Heat the pan. If necessary, brush with a piece of bacon or a brush dipped in sunflower oil. Pour one ladle of dough and spread it evenly over the bottom of the pan.
  8. Place the lid on the pan immediately.
  9. Fry the pancake over medium heat for 1-1.5 minutes, until the surface is dull and perforated.
  10. Turn the pancake over and fry it for another 30 seconds until golden.
  11. Fry all the pancakes this way. I got 10 fluffy pancakes with a diameter of 17 cm.
  12. Semolina pancakes are ready. Serve them with butter, sour cream, condensed milk, jam, or your favorite dessert sauce.
