Panna Cotta with Orange Salad

Ingredients

Products for Panna Cotta:

  • grated zest of the 1st orange,
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar (dieters can replace with liquid natural honey),
  • 14 gr. gelatin powder,
  • cinnamon stick (can be replaced with a pinch of powder),
  • 500 gr. whipping cream (can be replaced with sour cream)
  • 5 disposable foil or plastic molds -150 ml.;
  • Products for orange salad
  • 2 oranges with peel
  • 3/4 – 1 glass of sugar (again, you can safely replace with honey, but take 0.5 cups – according
  • to your taste),
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1-star anise;

Cooking process:

Directions

  1. Boil the orange juice until half of the liquid has boiled away.
  2. Add cream/sour cream, sugar/honey, and a cinnamon stick to the pan.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about seven minutes.
  4. Remove from heat. Let cool slightly. Remove the cinnamon, if you put a stick, and not a powder, and add gelatin, previously dissolved in a small amount of hot water. Add zest. Mix.
  5. Pour Panna Cotta into molds (5 disposable tin foil or plastic molds -150 ml), filling them 3/4 full.
  6. Leave in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  7. Serve with salad (recipe below).
  8. Orange salad preparation process:
  9. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar/honey and spices.
  10. Bring to a boil and simmer over high heat for about five minutes.
  11. Add 1×1 diced oranges to the syrup.
  12. Bring to a boil again and immediately remove from heat.
  13. Chill the orange syrup and store it in the refrigerator until serving.
  14. Gently place the finished Panna Cotta on dessert plates, turning the dish over onto a plate. Put the salad nearby, and pour over the orange syrup.
