Ingredients

  • 200 g butter, soft and divided
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons ginger, ground
  • 3 egg (s), whisked
  • 500 g pear (s), pitted and thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, brown, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Process the ingredients for the dough up to 25 g butter with the hand mixer or the food processor to a smooth dough. Pour the dough into the greased springform pan (22 cm in diameter) or lined with baking paper and smooth the surface. Spread the pears on the dough in a fan shape. Sprinkle with sugar. Pour the remaining butter over the dough in flakes. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 ° for about 55 minutes. (Cooking sample)
  2. The cake tastes cold or warm with vanilla ice cream.
  3. Variations: Replace the ginger with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and the brown sugar with vanilla sugar.
  4. The dough is also easy to make into muffins - then dice the pears. Baking time approx. 25 minutes.
