Puff Tartlets with Nectarines

We disassemble the freezer about once every three months. And there are invariably a few pieces of puff pastry. Conscience and frugality (or is it greed?) Do not allow us to throw them away. In short, here’s a great way to use them for everyone’s pleasure.

Ingredients

  • puff pastry 500 g
  • chocolate 150 g
  • nectarine 2 pcs.
  • sugar 1 tbsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • powdered sugar to taste

Directions

  1. Stretch the puff pastry slightly with your hands, place on the work surface. Using a cookie cutter or small glass, cut out 5-6 cm circles from the dough. Place the circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, cool slightly. Using a cooking brush or teaspoon, brush the dough with chocolate.
  3. Cut the nectarines into quarters, remove the pit. Cut the quarters into thin, neat slices. Place a few slices per circle on top of the chocolate.
  4. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 5-7 minutes. Cool and serve warm or cold. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
  5. If you want to turn this dish from very fast to something “exclusive”, then replace the ready-made puff pastry with homemade, and brush the dough with frangipane instead of chocolate. Even in the quick version, nectarines can be replaced with canned fruits (peaches, pineapples, cherries), fresh strawberries, frozen or fresh currants, apples, large grapes, cut in half.
