Puff Pastry Tartlets

Delicious, crispy tartlets based on puff pastry are perfect for making various festive dishes.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry – 400 g
  • Eggs – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. We stretch and roll out the dough into a layer 3-5 mm thick.
  2. Cut the dough into squares (8×8 cm, 9×9 cm or 10×10 cm). Put half of the squares on a baking sheet.
  3. Cut out the holes in the squares from the second part. It can be a smaller square to make a frame out of the blank.
  4. Or we make a cross-shaped incision on the square.
  5. We bend the corners of the product.
  6. Beat a raw egg.
  7. We cover each square on the form with an egg mass and pierce with a fork.
  8. We spread the prepared “frames” on the blanks.
  9. We send to the oven (200 degrees). We are waiting for 20-25 minutes. We use puff pastry tartlets at any time. They can be filled with any filling: vegetable or meat mix, cold cuts or smoked fish. Also, puff pastry tartlets can be served with vegetable or chicken broth, sorrel borscht or okroshka.
