Ingredients
- 500 g lentils, red
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 onion (s)
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 piece (s) ginger, fresh (size like 2 cloves garlic)
- 2 chilli pepper (s), green
- 1 tablespoon clarified butter or ghee (clarified butter)
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ cumin, (ground)
- 100 g yourt
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt

- Rinse and sort the lentils, add to a saucepan with turmeric, salt and 1 liter of water. Bring to the boil and cook covered over low heat, do not let it get too soft (approx. 10 min)
- Peel the onion and garlic, peel the ginger and dice finely. Core the chilli, rinse and dice very finely.
- Heat ghee or clarified butter in a wok or high-walled pan. Sauté the onion, garlic and ginger in it. Only when the onions are soft do add the chilli and cumin.
- Drain and add the lentils. Heat the whole thing, season to taste and stir thoroughly. Arrange in a bowl.
- Stir the yoghurt until smooth, pour over the lentils and serve hot.
