Rolls “Philadelphia”

We cook the most delicious sushi rolls at home. The popular and beloved Philadelphia rolls can be easily prepared at home.

Ingredients

  • Fresh salmon – 120 g
  • Avocado (as soft as possible) – 50 g
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Cream cheese (Philadelphia or other cheese) – 30 g
  • Sushi rice (boiled) – 280-340 g
  • Nori seaweed – 1 pc.
  • Soy sauce (for serving) – to taste
  • Wasabi (for serving) – to taste

Directions

  1. To prepare Philadelphia rolls you will need: sushi rice (boil rice in advance), nori seaweed, cream cheese (Philadelphia or other), fresh salmon, avocado, fresh cucumber.
  2. How to cook Philadelphia rolls at home:
    Peel the cucumber and cut into long strips.
  3. Peel the avocado.
  4. Cut the avocado in the same way as the cucumber.
  5. Cut a small piece off the fish steak. With a sharp knife (a knife for cutting all products for rolls must be sharp), at an angle of 15 degrees, cut the skin to get the perfect fish fillet. Check for bones.
  6. Cut the salmon into slices.
  7. Cover the mat with cling film. Place half of the nori sheet on top.
  8. Spread rice (140-170 g) over the nori surface with wet hands. Make sure that there are no empty spaces.
  9. Turn over the nori sheet. Place cheese, avocado and cucumber.
  10. Fold up the mat and form a roll, pressing the filling evenly, tap lightly on the sides.
  11. Place salmon on top.
  12. Having previously moistened the knife with water, cut the rolls into portions.
  13. Cover with a mat and press down lightly again.
  14. Place the Philadelphia rolls on a plate.
  15. Serve Philadelphia rolls with wasabi and soy sauce.
