Ingredients

  • 4 pear (s)
  • 500 ml white wine
  • 80 g suar
  • 1 bag / s saffron threads
  • 80 g walnuts
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • Mint, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel the pears. Bring the white wine to the boil with 60g sugar and the saffron. Add pears and sauté over low heat for about 20 minutes.
  2. Chop walnuts. Briefly toast in a hot pan with butter and the rest of the sugar, turning, push together into small heaps and place on a plate. Take the pear out of the brew and bring the brew to a syrupy boil over high heat.
  3. Serve the pears with the stock and the walnut slivers. Serve garnished with mint
  4. Tip: serve with vanilla ice cream if you like.
