Ingredients

  • 400 g salmon, smoked
  • 1 lemon (s)
  • 600 g cream cheese
  • 300 g whipped cream
  • salt
  • Pepper, whiter
  • 10 slices toast
  • 100 g butter
  • possibly cress

Salmon Mousse with Heart Croutons

Instructions

  1. Puree the salmon with the juice of the lemon. Mix the cream cheese and 100g cream. Stir in the salmon. Whip 200g cream until stiff and fold into the salmon cream.
  2. (If you want it lower in calories: it tastes good even without the whipped cream.)
  3. Cut 4 hearts out of each toast and toast them in butter. Garnish the mousse with cress. Serve with croutons.
  4. Excellent for a cold buffet. Then instead of the croutons, serve with snacks or pretzels.
