Salted Lard with Garlic and Pepper

Cooking salted lard in brine is not a laborious process at all. Everyone can cook such a snack, you just need to be patient. I recommend the garlic and pepper salted lard recipe.

Ingredients

  • Pork fat
  • Salt – 500 g
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Garlic to taste
  • Water – 1 l

Directions

  1. Cut the lard into small pieces.
  2. Pour salt (250 g) into water at room temperature, stir. Dip the lard into the brine.
  3. Sprinkle with the remaining salt on top.
  4. Put under oppression and leave for a day at room temperature, then send to the refrigerator for another 3 days.
  5. Salted lard in brine is ready, dry it. Peel the garlic.
  6. Squeeze the garlic through a press.
  7. Coat lard with garlic on all sides.
  8. Sprinkle with pepper.
  9. Place salted lard with garlic and pepper in a bag or food container, close tightly so that air does not enter.
  10. Store salted lard with garlic and pepper in the freezer.
