Sand Pie with Apples, in Vegetable Oil

We bake a delicious homemade apple pie. It is prepared easily, from the available ingredients, and the result is the most aromatic pastries for tea. Below – a layer of tender dough soaked in apple juice, in the middle – a lot of juicy aromatic apple filling, and on top – crispy crumbs.

Ingredients

  • Sunflower oil (odorless) – 200 ml
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Sugar – 200 g (to taste)
  • Flour – 500 g
  • Baking powder – 10 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 10-20 g (to taste)

For filling:

  • Apples – 2 kg
  • Syrup, preserves (or confiture) – 150 ml (to taste)

Directions

  1. We prepare the necessary products.
    For the filling, I used tea rose jam syrup.
    The pie is designed for a sweet tooth. If you want a moderate sweetness, reduce the amount of sugar for the dough and syrup for the filling.
    It is better to take apples sweet and sour.
  2. Sift 500 g of flour (this is a little more than 3 glasses with a capacity of 250 ml) into a deep bowl.
    Add baking powder and vanilla sugar to the flour. We mix.
  3. Pour sugar into a bowl (the amount can be reduced to taste).
  4. Add eggs.
  5. Pour in sunflower oil.
  6. Mix all the ingredients of the dough in a bowl – first with a spoon, and then knead with your hands. It turns out a crumb – slightly moist, pliable.
  7. By squeezing a crumb in your hand, you can easily shape it into a cake, and just as easily, by crumbling a cake, you can get a crumb again.
    We set aside the dough for now.
    We turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees.
  8. While the oven is preheating, we are busy with the filling.
    We wash the apples, peel and core, chop them arbitrarily and put them in a deep frying pan or saucepan with a thick bottom.
  9. Pour jam syrup to the apples. Mix the filling and put on fire. If the syrup is thick, you can add a little water.
  10. Cover the apples with a lid and simmer over low heat until softened – about 5 minutes.
    Open the lid and prepare the filling for a few more minutes so that most of the liquid evaporates.
  11. We spread a little more than half of the dough into the mold (I have a mold with a diameter of 28 cm).
    Squeezing the dough by hand, distribute it along the bottom of the mold.
    We put another part of the dough on the walls of the form in the form of sides.
  12. Put the hot apple filling in the “basket” formed from the dough.
  13. Sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top of the filling.
  14. We slightly bend the sides with a knife on the cake and send them to the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until the crumb is golden.
  15. Sand pie with apples, in vegetable oil, ready.
    Let the cake cool slightly.
  16. Then we remove the cake from the mold.
  17. Cut the pie into portions and serve.
