Ingredients

  • 0.5 ½ ring / s meat sausage
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 0.5 ½ chilli pepper (s) (habanero) with seeds and skins
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 300 g mixed pickles, drained
  • 1 can tomato (s), chunky
  • 300 ml tomato ketchup
  • 100 ml cream
  • 1 pinch thyme, dried
  • Black pepper from the mill

Instructions

  1. Halve the meat sausage lengthways and then cut across into slices and slowly fry in the oil in a pan so that the slices turn nice and brown. Then add the diced onions and the finely chopped garlic and sauté a little. Add the tomato paste and roast it too so that it loses its acidity. Now add the mixed pickles (cut the cucumbers and chunks that are too large!) And fry them with them.
  2. Deglaze with the tomatoes. Then immediately add the ketchup and sugar and bring to the boil. Add the chiles and thyme and let everything simmer for about 2 minutes. Add the cream and stir in. Season to taste with pepper from the mill and possibly a little more sugar.
  3. We always have spiral noodles to go with it. But certainly rice or potatoes go well with it.
