  • 4 slices bread (mixed bread, e.g. brown bread, double baked bread, Oberländer, etc.)
  • 125 g smoked bacon, alternatively ready-made ham nuets or similar.
  • 2 cloves garlic)

  • Oil for frying, e.g., rapeseed oil

Instructions

  1. Dice the bread. Beat the eggs and place in a small bowl. Do not stir! Crush the garlic cloves. Cut the smoked bacon into small cubes.
  2. Toast the bread in a large pan until it is browned and crispy. Now add the smoked bacon and garlic and lightly brown the bacon. Add 2 pinches of salt.
  3. Now take the pan off the heat, add the eggs and fry the egg until you want it hard, stirring constantly. You can play with the heat, put the pan on the stove and pull it away again. And you can also leave part of the bread without the egg, which makes crispy pieces of bread.
