  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Bread – 40 g (2 slices)
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 25 ml (1-2 tablespoons)

  1. If you have a whole piece of bread, on its slices about 1.5 cm thick. Peel the clove of garlic and cut it in half. Rub each slice of bread with garlic on both sides.
  2. Cut off the crust from each piece of bread and cut the crumb into cubes. In a frying pan, heat about 1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil and spread the bread cubes.

  3. Fry the bread cubes over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until browning.
    Put the finished croutons on a plate. Add the remaining vegetable oil to the pan in which the croutons are prepared (the pan should be preheated, but not too hot). Gently break the eggs into the pan.

  4. Reduce heat to low and fry the eggs for about 3 minutes until the egg whites are completely set.
    Put the finished eggs on a plate, salt, and pepper. Add garlic croutons to the fried eggs and serve.
