Ingredients

  • 340 g flour
  • 150 ml water
  • 4 g dry yeast
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • some Gouda
  • some sucuk, (Turkish garlic sausage)
  • some butter
  • some chili powder

Instructions

  1. Knead all ingredients except cheese, butter and sucuk into an even dough and cover with a damp towel and let it rest for an hour.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out an oval shape, not too thin. Place the sucuk and cheese on top, leaving about 2 cm of the edge free. Fold down the two long sides and firmly press the tips together at the top and bottom so that the shape of the boat is created. If you like, you can also season with chilli.
  3. Put the pide in the oven at 200 ° C and bake until golden brown. Take it out and brush the edges with a little butter.
  4. The topping can of course be varied to suit your taste. Vegetarian, for example, with feta and tomatoes or with mushrooms instead of sucuk.
