Mega-quick puff pastry with liver pate and cheese! We will use ready-made puff pastry; you will not have to bother with the preparation of liver pâté either – any store pâté is perfect. The puffs turn out to be very tasty, they are also suitable for a snack with tea or coffee, and as a replacement for bread for first courses!
Cook: 35 mins
Servings: 3
Ingredients
Frozen puff pastry – 250 g
Liver pate – 150 g
Hard cheese – 80 g
Egg – 1 pc.
Wheat flour (for burning) – 1/2 tbsp
Directions
Prepare the required ingredients. You can choose any pate to your taste – I used a ready-made store-bought liver pate. Remove the puff pastry from the freezer in advance and let it reach room temperature. Snack puffs with cheese and pate are prepared quickly enough, so it is better to turn on the oven in advance to warm up to a temperature of 200 degrees.
Lightly dust the work surface with flour and unfold the layer of puff pastry.
Roll out the dough a little to make a rectangular or square layer.
Divide the liver pate into thin slices and spread over the entire surface of the dough.
Spread the paste evenly with a spoon so that the dough is completely covered.
Gently roll the filled dough into a tight roll and secure the edges.
Cut the roll with a sharp knife into small washers about 2 cm thick.
Flatten each washer lightly with your palm.
Shake the egg in a bowl.
Dip each roll on one side of the egg mixture and place this side down on a baking sheet lined with silicone mat or parchment paper.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Carefully place the grated cheese on each puff so that you get a “mound”.
Send the pieces to the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for about 20 minutes.
Transfer the finished puffs to a plate and cool slightly.
Pasta and cheese puffs are ready to serve.
Bon Appetit!
