Ingredients

  • 250 g lentils, cooked
  • 50 g cashew nuts
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ maple syrup
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ liquid smoke
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ thyme
  • 0.25 ¼ marjoram
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion and garlic. Grind the cashew nuts.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan and sweat the onions until translucent. Add the garlic and sweat for 1 minute. Stir in the lentils, marjoram and thyme.
  3. Put the contents of the pan with ground cashew nuts, maple syrup, liquid smoke and soy sauce in the mixer or food processor and process into a paste. If necessary, dilute with a dash of vegetable oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
