Ingredients

  • 1 onion (s), chopped
  • 2 clove (s) garlic, chopped
  • 2 ½ cm ginger, chopped
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), pitted (alternatively dried chilli)
  • 3 tablespoon lime juice, alternatively lemon juice
  • 5 tablespoon soy sauce, dark
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 kg pork ribs, separated

Instructions

  1. With the exception of the ribs, put all the ingredients in a beaker and use the hand blender or blender to make a marinade.
  2. Wash and dry the ribs.
  3. Place in a hot, tall saucepan and pour the marinade over them. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 30 minutes over a low heat, stirring regularly. If the mixture gets too dry, add some water.
  4. Drain the ribs and save the sauce.
  5. Grill the ribs over medium heat, brushing them regularly with the marinade. The ribs are ideal when they`re nice and golden brown and crispy.
