Ingredients

  • 2 onion (s), finely diced
  • 75 g bacon, smoked, finely diced
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 ½ bunch rosemary, finely chopped
  • 75 g seeds, mixed, e.. sunflower, pine, pumpkin
  • 2 clove (s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cube yeast, fresh
  • 550 g flour, type 405
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 1 pinch (s) black pepper
  • 300 ml water, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions with the bacon in 1 tablespoon olive oil for about 2 minutes. Chop the kernels a little. Mix the flour with salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, seeds. Add the oil to the lukewarm water and dissolve the cube of yeast in it. Add to the flour mixture and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until it has visibly enlarged.
  2. Knead the dough vigorously again. Shape into a loaf and let rise for another 20-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to top / bottom heat to 200 ° C.
  4. Spray the loaf of bread with water and bake for about 35 minutes. Spray 1-2 times with water in between.
  5. Tastes particularly good with lard or homemade garlic butter and as an accompaniment to grilled or hearty salads.
