Spicy Shrimp with Orange Salsa

The most suitable spices have been selected for the shrimp. Fried shrimp served with an orange salsa.

Servings: 12

Ingredients

For salsa:

  • Pomegranate seeds – 2 cups
  • Orange slices (peeled and finely chopped) – 1 glass
  • Green onions (chopped) – 1/3 cup
  • Fresh jalapeno pepper (seeded and finely chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh cilantro (chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon.

For shrimp:

  • Paprika – 1 tbsp
  • Ground cumin – 2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme – 3/4 teaspoon
  • Ground red pepper – 3/4 teaspoon.
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Ground allspice – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Large shrimps (peeled) – 36 pcs.
  • Olive oil – 5 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Mix all the salsa ingredients.
  2. In a large plastic bag, combine the paprika, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, red pepper, salt, and allspice. Put shrimps in this bag, close the bag, and mix well. Remove the shrimp from the bag.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 1/2 teaspoons of oil. Place half of the shrimp in a preheated skillet and fry on both sides for about 4 minutes. Transfer the fried shrimp to a plate and fry the other half of the shrimp in the remaining oil.
  4. Serve the shrimp warm fried with salsa.
