Stewed Сabbage with Сhicken and Mushrooms

Stewed cabbage with mushrooms and chicken is a delicious homemade dish that is perfect for lunch or dinner. Fragrant cabbage, juicy mushrooms, and tender chicken go well with each other. And to prepare such a dish is not difficult at all.

Cook: 50 minutes

Servings: 4


  • Chicken fillet – 350 g
  • White cabbage – 500 g
  • Champignons – 300 g
  • Onions – 80 g
  • Tomato paste – 2-3 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Ground red hot pepper – to taste 

For filling:

  • Parsley – 3-4 sprigs


  1. We wash the chicken fillet and fill it with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 25 minutes after boiling.
  2. Shred cabbage. Peel the onion and cut it into cubes.
  3. In a frying pan, simmer cabbage and onions with one tablespoon of vegetable oil until soft (about 20 minutes). The fire should be small. Stir occasionally.
  4. Wash the mushrooms and cut them into thin slices.
  5. Simmer the mushrooms in another pan in the remaining vegetable oil until all the liquid has evaporated.
  6. Cut the boiled chicken fillet into arbitrary pieces.
  7. Combine cabbage with onions, mushrooms, and meat in a frying pan.
  8. Add tomato paste, salt, and pepper.
  9. Stir, pour in 50-100 ml of water, and simmer under the lid for another 10-15 minutes.
  10. Chop the parsley.

Stewed cabbage with mushrooms and chicken is ready. Serve with chopped parsley.
