  • 8 slices white bread, sliced as thick as a finger
  • Oil (extra virgin olive oil), plentiful, to drizzle with

Instructions

  1. Peel the garlic cloves and cut in half crosswise. Roast the bread over the open grill in the fireplace or in the hot oven until golden brown on both sides, then rub the cut surfaces of the halved garlic cloves vigorously. Drizzle the bread generously with olive oil, then serve immediately with the wine.
  2. This antipasti should always be served warm.
