Ingredients

  • 1 kg beans, white, fresh, or barbunya
  • 2 carrot (s)
  • 1 potato (s)
  • 2 onions)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 large tomato (s)
  • 80 ml olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, (leaf paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • parsley, to refine

Instructions

  1. The beans are washed, boiled once and then the water is poured off.
  2. The tomatoes are grated, potatoes and carrots are peeled and cut into small pieces
  3. .
  4. The onions are cut into small pieces, the garlic is crushed and both are fried in olive oil.
  5. Add the chopped potatoes and carrots and fry together.
  6. After about five minutes, add the beans, season with salt, pepper and paprika and add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  7. Finally, add the tomatoes and olive oil. Then add boiling water until the beans are covered. Simmer on low heat until the beans are soft.
  8. If you like, you can add a little parsley to refine it.
  9. This dish is eaten cold in Turkey.
