  • Pork – 500 g
  • Potatoes – 500 g (3-4 pcs.)
  • Rice – 80 g
  • Bulb onions – 0.5 pcs. (80 g)
  • Carrots – 1 pc. (80 g)
  • Tomato sauce – 400 g
  • Garlic – 1-2 cloves
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Fresh dill – 1 sprig
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Wash the meat, peel the onions and carrots.

  2. Pour 2.5 liters of cold water into a saucepan and heat. Bring to a boil, remove the resulting foam and cook over medium heat for 1-1.5 hours until the pork is tender.
  3. Remove the cooked meat from the broth and cool for slicing.
  4. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  5. Transfer the potatoes to the boiling broth.
  6. Then add the rice to the pot.
  7. Cut the meat into pieces and transfer to a saucepan with potatoes and rice. Bring to a boil and cook 15 minutes until rice and vegetables are tender.
  8. Cut onions into small cubes, grate carrots on a coarse grater.
  9. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and place the onions in the skillet. Fry it until transparent.
  10. Add the carrots to the onion and fry for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  11. Add tomato sauce and chopped garlic to vegetables in a frying pan (you can grate or squeeze out with a press). Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  12. This pre-frying will slightly remove the acidity of the tomatoes and brighten the color of the soup.
  13. Add the stir-fry to the soup pot. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  14. Add bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Stir and turn off the heat under the saucepan.
  15. Rice soup with pork and tomato sauce is ready, you can pour the first course into plates.
  16. For a thick, flavorful bowl soup, add fresh dill or parsley to make it even brighter.
  17. If you cook the broth the day before, then the soup will take no more than 30 minutes to cook. Try it!
