Jerusalem artichoke is a great alternative to potatoes, but alas, this vegetable is not available to everyone. Those who are well acquainted with the beneficial properties of Jerusalem artichoke undoubtedly managed to stock up on the harvest. But now the question arises – how to cook Jerusalem artichoke? The easiest way is to fry the Jerusalem artichoke. It turns out even tastier than fried potatoes.

Ingredients

  • Jerusalem artichoke – 300 g
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 pinch (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – 1 pinch (to taste)

Directions

  1. Prepare food.
  2. Wash Jerusalem artichoke and peel it like a young potato.
  3. Cut the Jerusalem artichoke into slices 3 mm thick.
  4. Put a pot of water on the fire. Let the water boil.
  5. Send the chopped Jerusalem artichoke to boiling water and blanch over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. If foam forms, remove it.
  6. Place the Jerusalem artichoke in a colander, drain the water.
  7. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil.
  8. Place the Jerusalem artichoke slices in a hot skillet.
  9. Fry Jerusalem artichoke over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
  10. Add salt and pepper.
  11. Fried Jerusalem artichoke is ready.
