Turkish Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • Egg – 3 Pieces (1 egg – in the dough, 2 eggs – for pouring)
  • Flour – 235 grams (200 grams – in the dough, 35 grams – for pouring)
  • Butter – 150 Grams
  • Sugar – 250 grams (100 grams – in the dough, 150 grams – in the filling)
  • Yogurt – 130 Grams (natural)
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Sour cream – 200 Grams
  • Apples – 3-5 Pieces
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Beat the room temperature egg and 100 grams of sugar with a mixer.
  3. Add softened butter to the sugar and egg mass.
  4. Add yogurt.
  5. Add baking powder to the flour.
  6. Pour flour and baking powder into a bowl, knead the dough.
  7. Prepare a split form, cover the bottom with baking paper, grease the form with butter, dust with flour.
  8. Pour the dough into the prepared pan, flatten.
  9. Place peeled and cut apples on the dough.
  10. The Turkish apple pie turned out to be tender, fragrant, tasty and big enough for everyone!
  11. Mash the yolks with the remaining sugar.
  12. Add sour cream to the yolks.
  13. Pour the yolk mass over the whipped whites, stir gently, trying to maintain the structure of the whipped whites.
  14. Place the fill over the apples and smooth.
  15. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the cake, it is better to do this through a strainer.
  16. Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes, check readiness with a wooden skewer or toothpick.
  17. Let the cake cool to room temperature, gently remove it from the mold.
  18. The Turkish apple pie turned out to be tender, fragrant, tasty and big enough for everyone!
