Ingredients

  • Oil, for frying
  • 2 apples
  • 0.5 liter ½ water
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 3 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • leaves Bay
  • salt and pepper

Vegan Sauce with Dumplings and Red Cabbage

Instructions

  1. Dice the apples unpeeled. Heat the oil in a saucepan, fry the apples in it when they turn slightly brown, add the water, add the stock cube and let it dissolve.
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients, simmer for a while, then strain the mixture through a sieve.
  3. Note: The solid ingredients can still be used, for example as a vegan spread.
