Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C fan oven. Put a piece of aluminum foil (size depending on the size of the roast) ready.
  2. Dab the roast and place on the aluminum foil. Twist the aluminum foil together on the sides, so that a kind of boat is created. The aluminum foil should be open at the top. Put the roast together with the aluminum foil in the preheated oven. Pour some water over the roast so that the bottom of the aluminum foil boat is lightly covered so that the roast does not dry out. Leave the roast in the oven for 45 minutes. During the whole time, pour in water from time to time.
  3. I got this recipe from my grandma and she always says that it doesn`t matter how big the meat is, the baking time is ALWAYS 45 minutes. I`ve made it with different sizes and it always worked.
  4. The roast can be thinly sliced cold for a buffet, but also warm in thick slices to roast potatoes or sauerkraut very well.
