Ingredients

  • 1 kg roast pork (neck is best)
  • 3 onion (s), cut into rings
  • 0.75 tablespoon ¾ mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 ml water
  • olive oil
  • Garlic
  • cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Sear the roast pork on all sides in olive oil in the roasting pan. Then remove the meat and roast the onions in the oil. In the meantime, coat the roast pork with mustard, salt and pepper.
  2. When the onions are golden, put the meat back in the roaster and place the onions on top. If desired, halve the garlic cloves and add them. Pour in the water, cover the roaster and place in the oven for 60-75 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.
  3. When the meat is tender, remove it and put the sauce in a saucepan. It won`t be a lot of sauce, but it`s strong. Bring to the boil, possibly fish out the garlic and puree the sauce. Tie something at will.
