Instructions

  1. Beat all the ingredients except the butter with a wooden spoon until the batter starts to bubble. I do it with the hand mixer, it works too. Then let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
  2. Bring salt water to the boil and press in the spaetzle in portions using a spaetzle press or scrape it over a spaetzle board. Bring to the boil briefly, remove with a slotted spoon and rinse in cold water.
  3. When all the spaetzle are done, drain in a colander and toss in the butter in a coated pan to warm up.
  4. Serve with a lot of sauce.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
