Ingredients

  • 2 hip steak (s), 00 g each
  • 150 ml whiskey
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 160 g butter
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Place the steaks in a deep plate, pour the whiskey over them and leave to stand for at least 3 hours.
  2. After marinating, season the steaks with salt and coarse pepper.
  3. Fry the steaks in a pan with half the butter. Cooking time to taste.
  4. Glaze the onions and garlic in the rest of the butter in a separate pan. Add the honey and let it caramelize briefly. Put the stove on a low flame. Pour the whiskey from the marinade into the pan with the onions, reduce briefly, add the cream and heat briefly. Mix in the remaining spices and season to taste.
  5. Arrange the steaks on a plate with the sauce.
  6. This is best served with a baguette for spinning the sauce.
  7. If you want more sauce, you can double the ingredients.
