Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 5 bell peppers, yellow or red
  • 2 large onions, peel and dice
  • 3 cloves garlic, peel and squeeze
  • 0.5 tube ½ tomato paste
  • 1 can tomato (s), (pieces)
  • 50 ml cream
  • 100 g cheese, rated
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • chives
  • parsley

Instructions

  1. From the 5 peppers we cut the lid off of 4 and hollow them out. Meat dough: In a bowl we put the mixed minced meat, a diced onion and 2 pressed garlic cloves. The remaining peppers are cleaned and diced and also added to the minced meat in the bowl, plus the grated cheese, salt, pepper, paprika and a little parsley and chives. Use the spices as you like it! Knead all the ingredients together vigorously! The meat dough is now filled into the 4 hollowed out peppers, but there must be a small handful left, which is needed for the sauce. The filled peppers are now placed in a baking dish with the filling facing down! Sauce: We heat some oil in a pan and fry the remaining meat filling with the second diced onion and the last pressed clove of garlic with half a tube of tomato paste and extinguish the whole thing with the liter of meat broth and add the tomato pieces and leave the whole thing again 8 Cook vigorously for min to 10 min. Finally add the cream and season with pepper and paprika as well as salt and chives. Pour the sauce over the peppers into the baking dish and cook in the oven covered at 200 degrees, top and bottom heat for about 40 minutes! A wild and / or basmati rice goes well with this!
