Zucchini Gratin with Minced Meat Ingredients

  • Minced pork and beef – 300 g
  • Zucchini – 300 g
  • Cream 20% – 120 ml
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Provencal herbs (a mixture of thyme, basil, and oregano) – ½ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

  1. Cut the onion into thin quarter rings. In a frying pan in vegetable oil, fry the onion until golden brown (2-3 minutes). Then we transfer the onion to another dish.
  2. Put the minced meat in the pan and fry until the color changes evenly. Stir often, breaking lumps. Cut the zucchini into thin semicircles.
  3. Pour boiling water over the zucchini, salt and boil for 5 minutes. Then we put it in a colander. Return the onion to the minced meat, salt, and pepper. We warm-up for a minute.

  4. Three cheese on a coarse grater. We turn on the oven so that it warms up to 180 degrees. Put cheese to the cream, add herbs, salt, and pepper. We mix.
  5. I will bake the dish in a frying pan, just remove the handle. If your frying pan is not designed for baking, transfer the minced meat with onions into a mold and lightly tamp. We spread the zucchini on the minced meat.
