Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 225 grams sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 300 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 225 g butter

For the dough: (chocolate dough)

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon boiling water

For decoration:

  • 2 egg whites, fresh
  • 1 packet powdered sugar
  • Couverture

Also:

  • Fat and flour for the mold

Instructions

  1. For the dough, mix all the ingredients together and pour ¾ of them into a greased and floured ring mold. Mix the cocoa with the water to a viscous mass and stir into the remaining ¼ of the batter. Pour this dark dough into a piping bag and sprinkle dots into the white dough, pressing differently so that the dots become different sizes.
  2. Bake at 170 degrees for 55 - 60 minutes.
  3. Mix a glaze from the egg white and powdered sugar and spread it on the finished cake. When the icing is dry, melt the couverture and use it to add dots to the icing sugar icing.
