Ingredients

  • 500 ml water
  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 ½ teaspoon tea (black tea)
  • 2 whole cardamom
  • 4 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer gently for 10 minutes. The cardamoms can be slit and scraped out to better develop their flavor. The chai tastes good even without it, but then it`s not quite as African.
  2. Pour the chai through a sieve and serve in a teapot.
