Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 210 g butter
  • 210 g mararine
  • 210 g suar
  • 2 pinches vanilla pod (vanilla pulp)
  • 2 drops butter-vanilla flavor
  • 600 g wheat flour

For the filling:

  • 350 g marzipan paste
  • some powdered sugar, to roll out
  • 6 tablespoons jam (strawberry jam), strained through a sieve

For decoration:

  • 150 g cake icin (chocolate fat icin)
  • some walnuts, halves
  • 1 handful pistachios, chopped
  • 1 handful sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth shortcrust pastry from flour, sugar, butter (in small pieces), margarine, vanilla pulp and the butter vanilla flavor in a food processor (with dough hook) and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured baking mat, cut out oval cookies and spread on a baking sheet lined with non-stick paper.
  3. Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven on the middle rack at 180 ° C for approx. 10 - 12 minutes.
  4. Filling:
  5. Roll out the marzipan mixture on a little powdered sugar between two sheets and cut out an oval shape. Then spread a little strawberry jam on each 2 cookies on the underside and cover with the marzipan in between.
  6. Ornament:
  7. Melt the chocolate icing in a water bath and dip a cookie on each side and decorate with walnut halves, chopped pistachios and almond slivers.
