Ingredients

  • 375 g corn flour
  • 125 g wheat flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 225 g butter
  • 375 ml milk
  • some fat, for the shape

Instructions

  1. Mix corn flour, wheat flour and baking powder. Beat the eggs separately with sugar and salt. Melt the butter, let it cool down a bit and gradually add it to the flour mixture along with the milk and the egg-sugar mixture and stir.
  2. Grease a loaf pan, pour in the dough and cut lengthways with a knife.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C on the middle rack for 50-60 minutes until golden yellow.
  4. The finished, still lukewarm bread tastes good with heavily salted butter.
