Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g nuts, round
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 120 ml mineral water

To caramelize:

  • 2 apples e.g., Boskop
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • sugar
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare a creamy dough from flour, nuts, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, salt and water and let it soak for about 10 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, bring the water to a boil in a large saucepan.
  3. At the same time, peel the apples and cut into small pieces.
  4. Shave the dough into the boiling water and bring to the boil briefly. Remove the spaetzle with a slotted spoon, rinse in cold water and allow to drain.
  5. Heat the butter in a pan, add sugar and lightly caramelize. Then add the apples and then fold in the spaetzle. Heat for a few minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Sprinkle the spaetzle with cinnamon and sugar as desired.
