Ingredients

  • 250 g butter or mararine
  • 200 g powdered suar
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 g walnuts, rated
  • 250 g flour, (spelled flour)
  • 700 g apples
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Roughly grate the peeled apples.
  2. Beat the egg whites and stir in half of the sugar.
  3. Mix the butter with the remaining sugar, the vanilla sugar and the yolks until frothy. Stir in apples and nuts.
  4. Mix the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and fold in alternately with the snow.
  5. Spread the dough on a greased, floured tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes.
  6. Let cool, cut into 24 slices and sprinkle with icing sugar.
