Ingredients

  • 1 ½ kg apples, peeled, cut into fine slices or wedges
  • 250 g clarified butter or butter
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 1 shot rum
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix the clarified butter, eggs, vanilla sugar, sugar and a dash of rum together well. Add the apples and mix in. Mix flour with baking powder and fold into the mixture. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour at gas mark 4 (top / bottom heat: 200 ° C). Make a stick or knife test before removing.
  3. Caution: place aluminum foil or a tray under the mold to catch any butter that drains off.
  4. Take the tin out of the oven, turn it out onto a wire rack and peel off the bottom with a knife.
  5. It is best to serve the apple pie undecorated as it is.
