Australian Bush Bread

Chop the onion and sauté in oil until translucent. Briefly sauté the coarsely chopped herbs. Dice the bacon and put 1 tablespoon of it ready.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and salt. Add 80 ml of water, milk, bacon, 2/3 of the cheese and the herb and onion mixture and knead everything into a dough. Possibly add a little more water. Shape into an elongated loaf. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with the cream. Sprinkle with the rest of the bacon and cheese. Bake in the oven on the middle rack for 50 to 60 minutes.
